5 out of 5 stars Recomended Knife   September 1, 2010

This is a great knife if you are looking for a user. It has a great feel and solid build. I wasn't sure if Gerber was still made in the USA, but this knife is. I often spend alot more on fixed blade knives that I end up not using becuase they're too nice, but this is quality bargain that you can rely on.

5 out of 5 stars 77 "ubt" is an idiot   August 22, 2010

First of all, I own this knife. It's a nice well made knife, and for the money it's a great value. If you want a better knife be prepared to bust out the checkbook! Secondly, 77"ubt". What kind of review was that? Learn to speak some English and form a proper sentance and then maybe your review will at least make sense. I doubt it will be much better though. If you couldn't break a glass window with the pommel of this knife you are either 6 years old, or completely worthless. And anyone complaining about how much pressure it takes to remove the knife from it's sheath better hope they never find themselves in a survival situation anyway! This is a great knife, and for under 100 bucks it's an incredible value. Period.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Survival Knife   August 21, 2010

This is a very sturdy knife with a solid hold. The blade features a serrated bottom half making it a great utility knife. The flat side of the butt end is strong enough to be used as a hammer and the the tip on the butt end can be used for shattering glass. The sheath is MOLLE compatible, so it can be attached easily to a vest, rig or pack that uses the MOLLE system. If you do not have MOLLE gear, mine came with 2 extra straps allowing you to attach the sheath to your waist or calf.

4 out of 5 stars Solid knife   August 18, 2010

This is a very good knife. The blade is shorter than I'd expected, but it's probably exactly what the specs say. My fault for not paying attention when I picked it, I guess. Also, the blade isn't as sharp as sharp as some of my other Gerber knives. I can probably sharpen it and get it up to par, but that's not what I'd expect from a Gerber. The knife has a good weight to it, the pommel is solid and the sheath is good. The straps on the sheath appear to be durable. All in all, this is a good knife. If the blade is the length that you want, I recommend it.

I bought this knife for my friend's graduation and it nearly motivated him to join the army just to try it out. It has a good feel to it and it is extremely cool looking. But since it has so many uses, it is more of a survival tool than a weapon. But either way, it is a killer knife.
