Leatherman 934850, Pocket Clip and Lanyard Ring August 28, 2010 PawneeStrider74a I don't know what I will do with the lanyard ring. I carry my leatherman wave in my jeans tool pocket. I have too much stuff on my belt already to add the leatherman case. The pocket clip will keep the wave from falling out when I stand on my head, Eh? For no more than they cost I would sugest them as a great bargin. AND, if you climb or are around the water you might want a lanyard on your leatherman. With this ring it can be easily un-hooked from a lanyard.
good clip but where's my lanyard ring?? August 22, 2010 David Krugh (Tucson Az) i agree with other reviewers the sheath the tool come with isnt the greates so i decided to buy the pocket clip for my wave. its works great and ive always carried and EDC pocket knife there so the tool in my pocket felt normal. the only complaint i had was that i did not recieve my lanyard ring!? i would have liked to have it when im out camping/hiking and such to attach it to a pack or have a bright string attached so if i drop it i ccan easyly find it. but i have no desire to send the item back and wait for another one to arive.
so check the package and make sure both items are in there.
Flexibility in Carry Methods August 5, 2010 J. Janiszewski (USA) These two items came with my Leatherman Charge TTI and I have found them to be quite useful. Generally, I carry my multi tool on my belt in its pouch but these mounting options enable me to readily switch to pocket carry. Both items firmly attach to the tool and can mount it securely. The quick release removes the hassle from alternating between carry modes. However, the charge is a large tool and I find clip carry in the pocket to be less than ideal.
Options are good, construction is good. I would recommend this to a friend and am glad that my Leatherman included them.
Very limited usefulnes July 21, 2010 OldNewEnglander (Massachusetts) These items are well made, and easy to attach to the tool (although the instructions are not as clear as they might be). However, you have to choose one or the other; why doesn't Leatherman think that people might like to have both available? Also, the lanyard ring doesn't permit use of the belt case, which greatly diminishes its usefulness.
I cannot recommend purchasing these items.
does what its supposed to July 14, 2010 jj77 simple add on that makes the wave much more practical for carrying in a pocket of shorts or khakis at work. personally not a fan of belt-mounted holsters, always seem to be in the way, catch on stuff, etc. I never have a day go by that I don't use the wave for something unexpected so I want it with me. the tool on its own is too bulky to comfortably fit in a pants pocket, but the clip holds it vertical and easy to get at when needed. don't really use the lanyard ring so can't comment on that. have found the tool will open some (exposes pliers) in my pocket if I have to run after something, but that is small trade off for the rest of the time that its right there ready to go.
